A more than positive outcome for the 48th TTG Incontri, which just wound up in Rimini fair quarters.
The event reasserts its role as an effectively operational marketplace. Further consolidation of the role of TTI, the workshop for the commercialisation of Italy as a tourism product, and of International Bus Expo, dedicated to road travel.
Rimini, October 10, 2011 – The whole world of tourism in Rimini. The main marketplace of the sector has just closed, marked by important figures: TTG Incontri, the exhibition organised by TTG Italia, a Rimini Fiera Group company, has once again experienced a growth, with a 14% leap forward compared to last year, and a total of 48,735 operators.
“TTG Incontri – according to a satisfied Paolo Audino, managing director of TTG Italia – reasserts its role as the operators’ main occasion for exchange. The market has launched a clear message of concreteness and desire to react, which has generated a decidedly positive environment during the two and a half days of the exhibition,”.
The whole exhibition area, 16 pavilions spread onto 100,000 sm, was occupied by 2,400 companies representing over 130 destinations (among the new entries: Ghana, Mali, Tanzania, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua e Panama, Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan, Iraq, Palestine, Turks and Caicos Islands, Venezuela).
TTI reasserted itself as the most important workshop where to sell and buy the Italian tourism product, with 600 tour operators coming from about 60 Countries (with a strong increase in buyers from BRIC Countries) and over 13,000 appointments between demand and supply. Very much appreciated by operators was the Meet&Match formula, now in its second year, which allowed buyers and sellers to fix their last appointments directly during the exhibition.
Spotlight on the world of events: Meeting Time, the workshop dedicated to the MICE sector, saw the participation of 35 buyers specialised exclusively in the meeting industry.
Positive performance of IBE, International Bus Expo, dedicated to road transport, which, also this year, devoted a largely successful space to the sale of second-hand vehicles.
Moreover, TTG Incontri provided added value to the dealings among the stands thanks to a rich programme of forums: a single underlying thread, innovation, for 3 themes: the Italy of tourism seen through the eyes of foreign operators (presentation by TTG Buyers Observatory), the distribution of the tourism product and the role of travel agencies, communication and technology in tourism protagonists of the Media Village. ‘Sold out’ at TTG Lab, classroom training for sector operators.
The next edition of TTG Incontri, TTI and IBE will take place in Rimini fair quarters from October 18 to 20, 2012.
